Barcelona are ready to make an offer worth up to £60m for Raphinha in an effort to beat Chelsea to the signing of the Leeds United forward.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “Barcelona contacted Leeds yesterday night to submit new bid for Raphinha, following talks with Deco. Barca verbal proposal does not fulfill Leeds request, yet.

“Leeds insist on respecting the agreement with Chelsea for £60m. It’s still open on player side.”

Meanwhile, Romano has also claimed that Chelsea attempted to hijack Spurs’ move for Richarlison.

The Brazilian international looks set to complete a £60m switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Romano notes that the Blues ‘made an attempt to hijack the deal’ before Spurs reached a ‘full agreement’ with Everton. This deal has been in place since Thursday morning.
